Understanding emulation assessments
A practical scale with clear limits.
The 0–5 scale
0 means not suitable, 1 experimental, 2 limited, 3 good with compromises, 4 very good and 5 excellent. Words accompany the scores so colour is never the only explanation.
Provisional means provisional
Draft editorial assessments are not presented as final test results. Only explicitly eligible devices enter the Finder.
A platform is not every individual game
Emulator version, settings and hardware variants can change performance. A platform score is not a compatibility guarantee for every title.
Missing evidence
An empty field means unknown, not zero performance. Unknown criteria earn no Finder points and data coverage is shown separately.
